Our Spring Jumble Sale

Who are we?

Biggleswade Sandy Lions are part of Lions Clubs International, a volunteer organisation with some 1.4 million members in over 200 countries.

Lions are men and women of indeterminate age from varying walks of life who give their time and experience to benefit their local community and in some cases, the world-wide community. We are both non-political and non-religious.

Our Members possess a wide range of skills in a club that comprises members from various backgrounds. This proves to be a tremendous asset when tackling Fundraising or Community service projects.

How we work:

To finance our projects we raise funds by organising and running events such as our Jumble Sales, Easter Egg Draws, Logo Quiz, Stands at Village & Town Fêtes, Christmas Dance and Collections at local Supermarkets, Coffee Mornings and Social Evenings.

Our fundraising is undertaken with an air of enjoyment and fun. This is important as it contributes to the overall success of the event and a feeling of well-being in having been involved and been one of the team.
